For several years, we have discussed the eventual necessity of sunsetting Slyce. With the recent changes in Mastercard’s security requirements for payment solution providers, that time is now. Below are some common questions and answers that will help you understand more about the need for the migration, next steps in the migration and how this will affect you and your business.


Q: Why are you Migrating Slyce to Nexio

A: With the recent changes in Mastercard’s security requirements for payment solution providers, Slyce gateway will no longer have the necessary updates to comply with these requirements. Due to these new requirements, we are required to Sunset Slyce technology.



Q: How do I find out if I am using a Slyce gateway?

Q: Is my information in Slyce safe?

A: Yes, All information that is currently in Slyce is safe under the PCI DSS Standards.  Due to new technology and innovations we want to make your data even more secure by moving it to the Nexio systems.



Q: Will my information be lost in this migration?

A: For those whose software is not yet integrated with Nexio, updates are necessary before May 7, 2024, allowing our fulfillment team adequate time to transition your merchants from Slyce to Nexio. Please reach out to your software provider to find out when their integration is scheduled.



Q: What should I do if I am currently using a Slyce Gateway? 

A: Should your software already be integrated with Nexio payments, we can streamline the migration process for your merchants currently on Slyce. The deadline for completion is May 20, 2024. 



Q: What if my software is not integrated

A: You will want to reach out to your software partner and ask when the integration will occur.  We will be working closely with your software partner to schedule out that integration needs.



Q: Will there be any additional charges for this migration?

A: The fees for using the Nexio gateway will be the same costs as the Slyce gateway.  However, continued operation of Slyce beyond May 31, 2024 could incur fines due to non-compliance with MasterCard's regulations. Any penalties imposed on Nexio may be transferred to you as an ISV partner, potentially amounting to $2,500 per merchant, with a ceiling of $10,000.



Q: Will I need new logins for the Nexio services

A: No, The login for Slyce and Nexio will be the same.



Q: How to I access the new Nexio systems?

A: In many instance, you will continue to use your software program for your processing needs.  If you would like to log into the Nexio systems, you can reach the login page by going to https://dashboard.nexiopay.com



Q: If I want a training of the new Nexio Virtual Terminal, who should I reach out to?
